With 95 bicycle deaths in 2022, the figure has never been this high. Nathalie Lacave (44) from Wondelgem and Lars Janssens (16) from Merksplas are two faces behind those figures. They did not survive a collision on their bicycle last year. At least as many relatives were left with a feeling of great emptiness. “95 is a sad amount, but we are not surprised,” they say.
