HandOfBlood named Player of the Year at DCP

He is a streamer, entrepreneur and e-sports official: Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe. The 29-year-old was named player of the year at the German Computer Game Awards 2022 in Munich.

“Thank you for the award! Thank you to everyone who voted for us,” said “HandOfBlood” in his acceptance speech – and also considered his team: “Without my team it would not have been possible.”

“HandOfBlood” is best known as a web video producer. Since 2021 he has also founded his own e-sports team with Eintracht Spandau, which competes in League of Legends.

The Berliner – or Spandau, as he says himself – prevailed in the public vote against Dota 2 professional Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi and Matthias “Knochen” Remmert, among others.

16 prizes were awarded at the German Computer Game Prize – including the prize for the best German game to Chorus, the title for the best international game to Elden Ring and the prize for the studio of the year to CipSoft from Regensburg.
