Ziyech, former player of sc Heerenveen, FC Twente and Ajax, only played 271 minutes for his club Chelsea this season. After the departure of national coach Halil Halilhodzic, he returned to the national team of Morocco in September this year, after fifteen months without international matches.
The 29-year-old left leg from Dronten kicked the ball with his left leg over the Georgian goalkeeper who was standing far in front of his goal. One of the Georgian defenders had just played the ball into the feet of Ziyech, who immediately lashed out a few meters from the halfway line and shot the ball into the net with an arc over the goalkeeper.

Morocco starts the World Cup against Croatia on Wednesday. Belgium and Canada are the other opponents in group F. Canada and Japan defeated another World Cup visitor in a friendly match in Dubai 2-1. The winning goal fell deep into stoppage time and was scored by substitute Lucas Cavallini. Ko Itakura (ex-FC Groningen) was in the starting line-up for Japan.
