The American-owned F1 team Haas announced on Thursday that it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the money transfer company MoneyGram. The name of the new main sponsor will be introduced next year, so the F1 team will be known as MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in the 2023 season.
In addition to the name, the Main Sponsor, committed to Haas with a multi-year contract, influences the appearance of the next season’s car. The main color of Haas cars has been white for the last three seasons. Last year, the colors of the Russian flag were also strongly visible in the car, when the team was sponsored by the Russian Uralkali.
The cooperation between Haas and Uralkal was cut off after Russia started the war in Ukraine. At the same time, the team fired the infamous F1 performer To Nikita Mazepin and hired instead by Kevin Magnussen. The team has not yet confirmed who will drive as the Dane’s teammate next season. Nowadays, he is the second driver Mick Schumacher.
Haas was jumbo in the manufacturer’s race a year ago, but currently the team is tied for eighth with AlphaTauri.
The starting cooperation will be celebrated this coming weekend, when the F1 circus returns to the team’s and sponsor’s homeland, the United States.
