Ryan Gravenberch has high hopes for his move to Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old midfielder arrived in Germany on Saturday to complete his transfer from Ajax to Bayern. “Bayern is a big club, you have to win big titles here. That’s what I’m going for here,” Gravenberch told Bild . “I’m happy to be in Munich.”
For weeks there has been speculation about a switch from Gravenberch to the German record champion. He has a five-year contract in Munich. Ajax reportedly receives a fixed amount of 19 million euros and a maximum of 5.5 million in bonuses. Gravenberch’s contract in Amsterdam continued for one more year.
The midfielder played ten international matches for the Dutch national team, but is now missing from the selection of national coach Louis van Gaal. Right back Noussair Mazraoui already transferred free of charge from Ajax to Bayern Munich.
