While Gijs was dropped off and picked up by his parents for years, the AZ talent now has his driver’s license. “That makes it much easier for us,” says Alice. Although she misses the rides together. “Those were our one-on-one moments. Gijs is not a talker and if he was in a difficult situation due to an injury, for example, we could talk about it calmly.”
No plan B
Wouter: “Of course we realize that things can go wrong, but we’re just going for it. Actually, there is no plan B at the moment.”
