Glennis Grace denies that she “hit a dancer in the face” in 2017, as musical actor Tony Neef claims. “Her management says none of it is right. A strange story.”
For years she was known as the Whitney Houston impersonator of the Netherlands, but nowadays she is mainly associated with senseless violence: Glennis Grace. According to musical actor Tony Neef, her aggressive misconduct in the Jumbo is not an isolated case. He tells his story in the podcast Marc-Marie and Jan are not afraid of anyone.
Bell from Frank
Tony tells in this that he was supposed to go on tour with Willeke Alberti in 2017, but that didn’t work out. “I was then called by Frank Wentink. That’s the man who had that dinner show in Hilversum. Studio 20 or 21.”
What did he say? “He said, ‘I see now that you are out of work. Would you like to replace Glennis Grace every now and then?’ Then you are the special guestbecause sometimes she can’t. Then she has a performance.”
After a short salary negotiation, Tony agreed.
‘hit on the face’
Not much later, Tony received another call, he says. “He called me again the following week. He said, “I need you, just every weekend.” I said, “Why?” ‘Yeah, Glennis Grace just hit a dancer in the face because she was in the way. So I fired her.’ So well, then I was in that dinner show every week.”
Podcast presenter Marc-Marie Huijbregts is shocked. “I didn’t know that Glennis Grace hit another singer in the face.”
‘It is not right’
RTL Boulevard star Luuk Ikink states that Glennis’ management denies everything. “We have asked the management of Glennis if that is correct. They say, ‘It’s not right. She did not participate in a dinner show in 2017.’ That’s right. In 2018 she did.”
He continues in his show section: “It could be that those dates may have been switched, but she actually still performed. So it’s a strange story. Frank Wentink says: ‘No comment. We go on.’”
