German police have arrested an 18-year-old man at the German-Austrian border near Passau on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack in Frankfurt. The man wanted to travel to Iraq to join the terrorist group Islamic State (IS), the police in Wiesbaden and the public prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt jointly announced on Thursday.
