For the first time, a member of the jury has taken a position on Johnny Depp and Amber Heardin trial.
The ex-spouses had sued each other for defamation, and at the end of the trial in early June, both Actors were found guilty. However, Heard was sentenced to pay significantly higher compensation than Depp.
Seven jury members were involved in the six-week trial, one of whom has now spoken on the case publicly anonymously.

A jury member stated Good Morning American in an interview that when Heard cried the jurors saw only crocodile tears.
– It wasn’t credible. It was as if he could change his sensation by turning the switch. He could answer one question crying and turn to ice two seconds later. It didn’t seem natural, the member said in an interview on Thursday.
According to the jury member, Depp’s reactions and answers seemed more authentic. Heard’s credibility, in turn, had been questioned by the jury throughout the trial.
The jury found the two to have treated each other badly. However, Heard’s legal team failed to prove Depp was guilty of physical violence.

– They had quarrels between wife and husband, they both shouted at each other. I do not think either is right or wrong because of that.
The member went on to say that there was no evidence of Heard’s allegations of physical violence. The majority of jurors considered Heard to be an aggressive party in the relationship.
– Why would you buy a knife for an aggressive party? Why do you use drugs with Johnny Depp if you want to get him off the hook? a member questions Heard’s accusations.
The jury member also stated that the pictorial evidence presented by Heard could not be verified as genuine.
In the U.S. judicial system, a jury of laymen decides whether an accused is guilty. However, they are not involved in the legal issue.

Both Depp and Heard had filed three charges against each other. Heard was convicted of all three, Depp one. Heard was sentenced to pay his ex-spouse $ 10.35 in damages for defamation. Depp, in turn, was ordered to pay compensation of 2 million.
Heard said in a recent interview with Today’s morning program that he understands why the jury leaned toward Depp’s side.
– He is a beloved character and people think they know him. He’s a fantastic actor, he estimates.
There has also been talk in the past as to whether Johnny Depp’s strong support on social media would have affected the outcome.
– Some say we were bribed. That’s not true. We were not affected by social media. We followed the evidence. We didn’t consider anything from outside the courtroom. The accusations were heavy and there were large sums of money at stake. We didn’t take it lightly, a jury member assures.
The fame of the parties was not affected either: none of the jury members considered themselves a fan of either actor.
Heard’s lawyer has stated that Heard intends to appeal the verdict. A lawyer who spoke to Today before Elaine Bredehoft considers Depp’s lawyers to have “demonized” Heard and succeeded in concealing key evidence.
