FC Bayern rejects transfer candidates

FC Bayern is looking for a new defensive midfielder. Numerous candidates are traded in Munich. After a few discussions, those responsible for the German record champions have now canceled one of their own accord.

Wilfred Ndidi from English second division club Leicester City will not switch to Bayern. This was confirmed by his advisor Franjo Vranjkovic to the “kicker”.

“There were very good discussions with those responsible at FC Bayern at all levels, primarily with Mr. Jan-Christian Dreesen,” revealed the Nigerian’s player agent: “In the end, however, it was decided that Wilfred would not join the Holding Six Bayern Munich will.”

The 26-year-old has been under contract with the Foxes since 2017 and his working paper expires next summer.

The internationally very experienced six – Ndidi can look back on 51 international matches – was relegated with Leicester City last season. The midfielder is said to have been very interested in moving to Bayern.

What also recently spoke for a transfer: FCB coach Thomas Tuchel and Wilfred Ndidi should “appreciate each other enormously”, even when he was a coach at Paris Saint-Germain, the 50-year-old is said to have chosen the six as a reinforcement. Since then, the contact has “never been completely broken off,” the “kicker” recently reported.

FC Bayern is said to find new preferred candidates

When considering guiding Ndidi to Munich, the FC Bayern squad planners are said to have mainly been about a loan deal.

Meanwhile, another midfielder from the island is said to have been chosen as the new preferred candidate: Joao Palhinha from Fulham FC. The “kicker” also reports that the Portuguese is an option for the Munich bosses.

According to “Sky”, the 28-year-old would also like to switch to Bayern. The biggest problem, however, is the demand for a transfer from the Londoners, who are said to have asked for 90 million euros for Palhinha. However, it is not known whether Fulham would agree to a loan deal.

According to the TV broadcaster, Scott McTominay from Manchester United is not one of the solutions envisaged by Bayern, but according to “kicker” the Scot is still in focus. But even in the case of the 26-year-old, the transfer fee could become a sticking point.
