A new face on the bench at FC Bayern: According to Sky information, 17-year-old center forward Jonah Kusi-Asare is part of the German record champions’ squad for the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim on Saturday. The Swedish talent could get his first chance in the professional team. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany wants to have another alternative in attack after the absences of center forward Harry Kane (torn hamstring) and Serge Gnabry (knee problems).
Kusi-Asare only moved from AIK Solna to Munich on February 1st. FC Bayern paid 4.5 million euros for the young attacker. An additional two million could follow as bonus payments. Since his arrival, the 1.96 meter tall striker has played mainly for the U19 and U23 teams, where he has repeatedly stood out for his strong performances. In twelve games this season, Kusi-Asare scored three goals and prepared two more goals.
