At the port of Paviljoen Meerzicht in Midlaren, a excavator fell in Zuidlaardermeer tonight.
The machine was on a pontoon for work, but fell off because of an unknown cause. The driver could come out of the machine unharmed. The Zuidlaren and Bedum fire brigade is on site to place oil screens in the water.
