HANDBALL – In the Eredivisie, the gentlemen of E&O lost 25-32 on a visit to DFS Arnhem. Due to the loss, both teams switch places in the rankings. E&O is seventh after tonight, one place behind the Arnhem team.
It took a while for the match to get going. Only after six minutes was the first goal made by the home team. In the first quarter of the game Henrik Bergholt’s team managed to keep up. In the remainder of the first half, DFS managed to create a gap, as a result of which E&O went into the changing rooms 16-12 behind.
Promising start of the second half
The team from Emmen came out of the break strong and quickly narrowed the gap. With 18 minutes left, they were only two goals behind, 17-19. E&O couldn’t hold the initiative in the match and DFS ran out of time. Almost every attack by the Arnhem team resulted in a goal and they determined the final score at 25-32.
Next week, E&O will play at home against Handbal Aalsmeer, which is in fourth place in the Eredivisie.
