The promotion match on neutral ground in Rosmalen between WHC Wezep and VV Nieuwenhoorn has left its mark. Billboards and canvases have been destroyed; chaos has been left on the field.
Firecrackers and other objects were thrown during the match. A player would also have been pelted with beer. The police had to intervene to ensure that the match ended smoothly. That happened in a blistering penalty shootout. Hundreds of supporters who had been taken to Rosmalen by bus stood along the line.
The police came en masse to Rosmalen to maintain order.

The match was also disrupted by rowdy fans in Veen, North Brabant. At a certain point, the race management decided to put a stop to the all-deciding pot for promotion to the main division. At the final whistle, the Barnevelders won 1-0 on a penalty, part of the crowd lost themselves and fights broke out on the field. Images of this are circulating on social media.
