When Emma Kok won The Voice Kids 2021, Parkstad Limburg Theaters gave her a special gift: her own show in the theater in her hometown of Kerkrade.
On Sunday it was finally time, the 13-year-old was on stage with a solo concert.
‘Dream that came true’
The young singer has yet to recover, she says in the L1 Newsshow: “It was a dream come true, it was fantastic. I enjoyed it very much.” During the concert there were also three guest appearances: “Phil Bee, The Voice Senior winner (from Margraten, ed.), my singing teacher Joëlle Savelkoul and my sister Sophie.”

Ambassador Culture Fund
It turned out to be an evening full of surprises, because Emma also announced that she has become the new ambassador of the Limburg Youth Culture Fund. The singer mainly wants to work so that children are more involved with culture: “So that they have a passion in which they can put their sadness or joy in. I have my singing, and I hope other children can too. In sports or music .” The fund is committed to helping children from poor families to be involved in sports or music, for example.
Emma will perform again on May 4: during the National Children’s Remembrance Day with children from all over the country. De Kerkraadse then sings the song ‘If we do nothing’ with orchestra and accompaniment choir.
