Eintracht Frankfurt is heading into the coming season with a new old coach and – as of now – some legacy issues. Adi Hütter and sports director Markus Krösche are said to have already made some personnel decisions, and an XXL cross-list is emerging.

According to “Bild”, the SGE makers are no longer planning to use any of the numerous loan returnees. This means that players like Junior Dina Ebimbe and Elye Wahi should leave the club.

The Hessians are hoping for a transfer fee of between four and five million euros for Dina Ebimbe, who most recently played at Stade Brest. After a strong half-year at OGC Nice, Wahi is even targeting a sum of 20 million euros.

Niels Nkounkou, Hrvoje Smolcic, Kristzian Lisztes, Jessic Ngankam and Simon Simoni should also no longer play a role in the plans of those responsible for the sport. They are all for sale, but it is said that at best there will be only small payments.

Michy Batshuayi would even give Eintracht Frankfurt away for free in order to save on his generous salary, just like Ellyes Skhiri. Returnee Noel Futkeu is said to have a market abroad and bring in a whopping ten million euros.

Eintracht Frankfurt: Future of Collins and Co. open

According to the report, it is still unclear what will happen next with players like Nnamdi Collins, Arthur Theate, Hugo Larsson, Farès Chaïbi and Jean-Mattéo Bahoya. Their future in Frankfurt depends on the one hand on possible offers that flutter in and on the other hand on how they present themselves in preparation under Hütter.

The SGE parted ways with flopping coach Albert Riera after the end of the season. Hütter is now supposed to bring the ship, which has recently been lurching badly, back on course.

It was “something very special and emotional to be Eintracht’s coach again,” said the Austrian on the occasion of his introduction: “The time we had together in Frankfurt shaped me and I have never forgotten it. Looking back, I always had the feeling that I wasn’t finished yet.”

He is “excited” about the second chance at Eintracht, which has developed “greatly” over the years. He will approach the task “with a lot of work, discipline and a clear focus.”
