A driver was injured in a collision with a crash barrier on the A28 just north of Assen this evening. Police say a second car may have been involved, but it continued to drive after the incident.
It is not yet clear how the driver hit the guardrail. The crash caused the driver to be so injured that he was taken to hospital by ambulance. The car suffered serious front and rear damage and was towed away.
The second car is being sought.
