Double injury bad luck at Bayer Leverkusen

Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen suffered a broken collarbone on his return from the 2-1 defeat in the Bundesliga against FC Augsburg.

Bayer goalkeeper Andrej Lunew, who replaced Lukas Hradecky, who was suspended, injured a tendon in his right thigh on a tee shot. Bayer announced this on Sunday.

Both players will be out for the time being, Lunew probably for six weeks. Adli, who does not need an operation, will probably only be available to the Rhinelanders again after the international break in September.

Adli returned to the squad on Saturday after almost five months after tearing a tendon in his thigh and came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute. Adli and Lunew were not substituted in the match against FCA, they were on the pitch until the end.
