Coach Club Brugge keeps pressure off for duel against Union
Club Brugge is in good shape with the win over Union last Sunday. If it wins again tomorrow night, it could already be champions next Sunday. It doesn’t matter whether that is with good football.
“It’s about profit”
Sober man, Alfred Schreuder, at the press conference this afternoon. It wasn’t exciting, Sunday at Union. He doesn’t care about that. Neither do his players.
Alfred Schreuder, Club Brugge coach:
“We know that we played in a certain way that they trusted. They radiate that. If you manage that well, the result will come to you. We did that last Sunday. And then you have against “A top team from Belgium eventually won. In the end that’s what it’s all about. It’s about the win. It doesn’t always have to be with beautiful football. Sometimes it’s nice when it can be. But sometimes other things are asked in top matches.”
“Do not change approach”
So another one will arrive tomorrow night. On Jan Breydel now. Schreuder will not change his approach. With a win, the red carpet is out to the title. Schreuder remains himself.
“If we win, we do good business. If we draw it is also ok. If we lose, there is nothing to worry about because I think the decision will be made at the end of the day. But of course we go for the win. we lose, of course it means it’s not good for us. Let me correct myself. But we start from the positive.”
If Club wins tomorrow, it can take its third title in a row on Sunday. That’s number eighteen.
