US apparel group Centric Brands LLC has appointed Marc Compagnon as President, Centric Brands Asia. In his new role, he will report directly to CEO Jason Rabin and lead the group’s activities in Asia from Hong Kong, according to a statement published on Tuesday. Compagnon’s main task is “the transformation of sourcing” in the region, the group explained. The aim is to increase the digitization of the procurement strategy “with a focus on quality, speed and efficiency”.
The new head of Asia has relevant experience in the region: According to Centric Brands, Compagnon most recently worked in various managerial and advisory roles for the Hong Kong-based supply chain specialist Li & Fung for more than twenty years. “This is an exciting time of change and growth for our company,” said CEO Rabin in a statement. “Marc will lead our global expansion efforts and the build-out of our team in Asia, creating a world-class sourcing operation that will continue to drive our strategic growth initiatives.”
The group, which is primarily active in the textile and accessories sector, owns brands such as Zac Posen, Hudson and Avirex. In addition, Centric Brands is a licensee of well-known fashion labels such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and Coach in various product categories.
