Pop star Britney Spears40, claims she was not allowed to marry in the Catholic Church.
Spears was married to her longtime boyfriend By Sam Asghar28, with in June in Los Angeles.
The accused Catholic church in Los Angeles has responded that at no point did Spears even contact them or ask for a marriage ceremony in that church.
Spears says in her Instagram post that she would have liked to get married at St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
According to him, the church had told him that he should be Catholic and pass the test.
– Shouldn’t the church be open to everyone??? Spears asks.
He has posted a picture of the interior of that church on Instagram. According to the church, the photo was not taken by Spears herself. In the picture, a wedding is taking place in the church, where Spears was not present.
The church has checked its information, and Spears has reportedly not attended that church at all.
However, the church admitted that according to their rules, at least one of the wedding couple must be Catholic in order for the ceremony to be held.
Spears and Asghari got married at their home in Los Angeles.
Last fall, Britney was freed from her father’s guardianship, which had, among other things, prevented the couple from getting married.
The legal battle between the Spearses is still ongoing, as the father has demanded his daughter to testify in court regarding the allegations regarding her guardianship and court fees.
Britney is making a comeback to music and is expected to release a joint track Elton John’s70, with in the near future.
