Information from the organizer:

WHAT IS A “PHONE FREE SHOW”? As it sounds. Cell phones are not permitted in the event area. A true unplugged experience.

HOW DOES IT WORK? Upon arrival at the venue, staff from Yondr (the company we hired for this) will help you put your phone in a small, lockable bag that you will carry with you throughout the evening.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY AND NEED ACCESS TO MY PHONE? You can unlock your cell phone from your pocket at any time by going to the clearly marked phone usage areas at the entrance of the hall. Contact an usher or Yondr staff member if you need help finding one.

WHAT ABOUT CASHLESS BARS OR MERCH SELLER? We strongly recommend that you bring a credit card in case you cannot access your phone in the bar or merchandise area.

WHY DO THIS & IS IT MANDATORY? After the experiences with mobile-free concerts on the last tours, we are convinced that it is a better show for everyone involved. We open our eyes a little wider and our senses are sharper when we lose the technology crutch we are used to. And yes, this requirement is non-negotiable (exceptions are made for those who rely on their phone for medical treatment).
