Julian Nagelsmann’s home debut as national football coach was a complete failure. The German national team lost 2:3 (1:2) against Turkey in the Berlin Olympic Stadium on Saturday and still has a lot of work to do on the way to the European Championships in the summer.
In the sold-out and very atmospheric EURO final stadium, Kai Havertz (5th) and Niclas Füllkrug (49th) scored the goals for Germany.
Ferdi Kadioglu (38th), Regensburg-born Kenan Yildiz (45th + 2) and Yusuf Sari (71st, hand penalty) scored for the Turks, supported by tens of thousands of fans, who have secured their European Championship ticket.
