As reported by “Sport Bild”, those responsible at FC Bayern Munich are planning a marketing trip in the summer. The destination of the trip should be Australia.
However, the Munich pros will only face the grueling trip if they miss the final of the Champions League. The final of the premier class will take place in Istanbul on June 10th.
Only if FC Bayern does not take part would the break between the end of the season and the start of preparations be long enough to start the long journey to Australia.
The German record champions face the next hurdle in the Champions League in the coming week. On February 14, the Bundesliga side will visit Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the round of 16. The second leg is on March 8th.
FC Bayern mostly travels to China or the USA
FC Bayern has been going on a global marketing trip since 2014 as part of the “Audi Summer Tour” – mostly to the USA or China. However, due to the corona pandemic, the strategically planned trip had to be canceled in 2020 and 2021.
Last year, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team was back in the USA. “We are very happy that our fans can experience this again after two years of the pandemic. It will be nice to feel the enthusiasm of the local people,” said Bavaria’s CEO Oliver Kahn at the time.
A new market is now to be opened up in Australia. The more than 30,000 kilometers should not be an obstacle – provided FC Bayern misses the Champions League final.
