Basketball world champion Dennis Schröder suffered a significant defeat with his Brooklyn Nets in the NBA.
At the Memphis Grizzlies, the German and his team lost 119:135. Schröder scored 15 points and was one of the Nets’ best throwers.
For Brooklyn it was the fourth defeat from the last five games. Memphis is still one of the best teams in the league with 18 wins and eight losses.
Meanwhile, this season continues to go badly for superstar Joel Embiid. The Olympic champion had to leave the field early in the 107:121 defeat of his Philadelphia 76ers at the Indiana Pacers due to a broken nose.
While trying to fight for a rebound, he received his opponent Bennedict Mathurin’s elbow in the face. How long Embiid, who has already missed a few games, will have to miss will be determined during further examinations over the course of the weekend.
