An armed robber struck twice in Best on Friday evening. The man first robbed the Kruidvat on Wilhelminaplein. Less than 45 minutes later, he threatened the staff of the PLUS supermarket on Reindierhei in another neighborhood. As far as is known, no one was injured. It is unclear if anything was stolen.
The Kruidvat branch on Wilhelminaplein in Best was raided around a quarter past eight tonight. According to a Burgernet report, the perpetrator is a man of at least fifty and he had a weapon with him.
He was wearing a blue hooded jacket and cap and fled on foot. The police advise people who see him not to take any action in his direction, but to call 112.
Second robbery
Three quarters of an hour later there was another robbery, this time at the PLUS supermarket on Reindierhei in the Heivelden district.
The PLUS was robbed by a man wearing a black jacket, black trousers, a cap and black and white sneakers. He is light-skinned and fled on a bicycle after the robbery. In this case, too, the police advises to call 112.
Although the description differed, the police later said that it is the same perpetrator. The two robbed stores are about two kilometers away and a half hour walk from each other.
