Arizona reintroduces 1901 abortion law that virtually banned termination of pregnancy

A judge in the US state of Arizona ruled Friday that an abortion ban dating from 1901 is legally valid again. The law, which prohibits abortion in almost all cases, was suspended in 1973 because of the federal ruling in the Roe vs Wade case, which gave women in the United States the constitutional right to abortion.
