Free transfer from Juventus
Benfica Lisbon have officially announced the long-awaited return of world champion Ángel Di María. The Portuguese media, among others, had already reported in mid-June on an agreement between the 35-year-old attacker and the record champions. The offensive player leaves Juventus Turin after a year on a free transfer and is committed to Benfica until 2024.

Di María has also previously been linked with a move to the USA to join Inter Miami, where his compatriot Lionel Messi signed, and the Saudi Pro League, which is currently attracting international star after international star.
