clike the swallows that return in the spring tonight Saturday 6 May back up Rai 3 One day in court (every Saturday at around 0.35am). Seven new cases faced by Roberta Petrelluzzi – on the screen with folder in hand and clear exposition of the facts, as always. Hot topical cases – for the first time also foreigners – followed by controversial processes of which I am shown hearing clips, archival images, documents and interviews.
One day in court first episode: the trial at Villa Rosanna
In the first episode, the program deals with the “House of Horrors” case, i.e. that of RSA Villa Rosanna. We are in 2017, an operator of the rest home of Castellamare del Golfo, in the province of Trapanireports oppression and violence caused to the elderly hospitalized in the facility.
The police decide to install camerasand after two weeks of filming, it is clear to the investigators that the structure is a real one hellish circle. They come arrested the director Matteo Cerni, his partner Rosanna Galatioto (deputy director) and two operators. Before the judge, the four defendants must answer for numerous crimesamong which kidnapping and torture, specifically against Sara Labita, 90-year-old patient.
The (still open) case of Serena Mollicone is coming soon
Serena Mollicone was born in Arcenear Frosinone, on November 18, 1982. At the time of the events, we are in 2001was attending the last year of the socio-psycho-pedagogical high school.
On the morning of 1 June, the girl went to the hospital to perform an orthopanoramic. After the medical examination, which finished at 9:30, Serena goes to a bakery. Immediately after – the last sighting would have taken place in the main square of the town – literally disappears into thin air.
After two days, his body is found brutally tortured in a grove. After years of fruitless investigations, in 2019, five people were indicted including three carabinieri, Marshal Franco Mottola, his wife Annamaria and their son Marco. All charged with aggravated murder.
According to the reconstruction of the investigators, Marco Mottola would have hit Serena Molliconeprobably causing the young woman to bang her head against a door inside the barracks.
The motive? The girl’s desire to want to report a drug trafficking in which Mottola himself was involved. Last year, amid a thousand controversies, the suspects were all acquitted.
The Depp-Heard trial
For a couple of years, One day in court he also deals with foreign trials (last season the one for the murder of George Floyd). In this Roberta Petrelluzzi will propose the great tussle around the dispute between the former spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard – born from the defamation complaint filed by Depp for the article from domestic violence survivor published by Washington Post. Formally a violation of the agreements stipulated on the occasion of the divorce between the two, which took place in 2017.
The process, in the United States aired on the Court TV channel and then seen in fragments all over the world, it was a hugely watched media event. From the looks of the two actors, to Deep’s lawyer, to Kate Moss’s remote testimony, every aspect has access to debates and complaints from their respective fans. He came out the winner Depp, with Amber obliged to pay the ex a total of 10 million dollars.
A case that has not stopped generate analyzes and dedicated TV broadcasts. Not only reconstructions from talks, but soon also with a three-part docu-series produced by the English channel Channel 4.
