Suarez passed away at the age of 88. During his playing career, he was voted the best soccer player in the world in 1960. At that time, he became the only Spanish-born male player to win the Ballon d’Or award.
The midfielder represented FC Barcelona and Inter Milan in his playing career. He played in the Spanish national team in two World Cups and one European Championship.
