Brussels criminal court announces sentences for accomplices in Paris attacks
At the trial on the Belgian part of the investigation into the attacks of 13 November 2015 in Paris, the Brussels criminal court sentenced Abid Aberkan, the man who sheltered Salah Abdeslam, to three years in prison with probation postponement. Suspects Zakaria Jaffal, Ayoub Bazarouj, Mohamed Rabhioui and Smail Farisi have been fully acquitted. Eight other suspects – Ibrahim Abrini, Soufiane Al Aroub, Abdoullah Courkzine, Youssef El Ajmi, Rafik El Hassani, Abid Aberkan, Lazez A. and Meryem EB – were found guilty, but part of the charges were dropped.
