Speculations about an impending farewell to world footballer Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern have been going on for weeks. Now his wife Anna Lewandowska has sparked new rumors.
The wife of the two-time world footballer had informed social media about the family’s trip to Mallorca for the Easter holidays. She shared several pictures and short video clips via Instagram, in which she shared her trip to Spain with her almost four million subscribers.
So far nothing unusual. However, Anna Lewandowska provided one of her posts with a special note.
“Hi guys! I’m starting to learn Spanish! Any tips? Let me know,” read one Instagram story.
It goes without saying that the rumor mill about husband Robert was rekindled. According to media reports, FC Barcelona is hotly courting him.
It can be practically ruled out that the 33-year-old could not have been aware of the scope of her posting. The former karate fighter is one of the most successful influencers in Poland and entertains an audience of millions almost every day with her social media posts.
Most recently, the club bosses at FC Bayern had emphasized several times that they would be only too happy to continue with their superstar, who has been playing for the German record champions since 2014.
A breakthrough or even an agreement in the negotiations for a new working paper was not in sight until the very end. In fact, interested clubs, especially FC Barcelona, seem to be trying everything to get the 33-year-old out of Munich after eight years at the club.
Robert Lewandowski has scored 235 goals in the Bundesliga for FC Bayern alone, making him the second-best striker in the club’s history after Gerd Müller with 365 goals.
