FC Schalke 04 has found a new sleeve sponsor. The deal is said to be very lucrative for the Bundesliga newcomer.

As the Royal Blues confirmed on Tuesday, the logo of the Swedish workwear manufacturer Blåkläder will now adorn the jersey and training kit sleeves of the professionals.

“With Blåkläder we are gaining a partner with whom we want to actively shape the future of FC Schalke 04 – on and off the pitch. Workwear stands for durability, safety and reliability; it is precisely these characteristics that are the basis for the projects that we are now tackling together: from innovative activations to formats that make closeness, pride and real hardships tangible,” said S04 CEO Matthias Tillmann.

Jan Gundermann, Managing Director of Blåkläder in Germany, explained: “The Malocher idea and the connection to the world of work make Schalke 04 an ideal partner for us. We develop workwear for people who tackle things every day and have to rely on their equipment. At the same time, Schalke has an emotional, loyal and active fan base – that’s exactly what suits a brand that wants to build closeness in the long term. We look forward to bringing this partnership to life step by step together with the club and fans.”

FC Schalke 04 conceded significantly more

According to “Sport Bild”, Blåkläder will pay 2.7 million euros per year for his presence at Schalke for an initial three seasons. According to the report, the income flows directly into the professional squad.

Ex-sleeve sponsor Hegmann’s group only transferred around 1.4 million euros per year in the first league, it was said.

The engineering service provider from Gelsenkirchen becomes the main and jersey partner of the Knappenschmiede at Schalke. The club had already announced this on Monday.

Schalke had previously bagged a million-dollar deal with the professionals’ new jersey sponsor, the mechanical and plant engineering company Beumer. The income should amount to 6.8 million euros per season.
