Sami Pitkämö leaves Dancing with the stars program.
Pitkämö has been the conductor of TTK’s orchestra for many years. In the 19th production season, Pitkämö will move to the side and, according to the announcement, TTK’s live orchestra will be renewed.
In the future Dancing with the stars -orchestra is led by Lasse Piirainen. The pianist is excited about his new role.
– It is a great honor to be part of the program next fall. It is an iconic program and I am happy that I was chosen for this really interesting position, Piirainen commented in the press release.
The TTK period also includes other reforms. When Vappu Pimiä moves to the sidelines, a new presenter will be seen alongside Ernest Lawson.
The presenter will be revealed in the first episode of the program on Sunday, August 30.
– In the introduction episode that starts the season, it will be revealed who the well-known and radiant person is in question, the announcement says mysteriously.
The familiar trio will continue as judges: Jukka Haapalainen, Helena Ahti-Hallberg and Jorma Uotinen.
