With the 2-0 in Saarbrücken, Eintracht Braunschweig has a good starting situation for relegation. And a request to the fans.

Eintracht Braunschweig is faced with the chance to secure its place in the 2nd league. After the 2-0 in the relegation first game against Saarbrücken, the club asks its fans to avoid a big party on the field.

“If there is a place storm, you can certainly not prevent it due to the dynamics,” said Eintracht spokesman Luca Podlech before the second leg on Tuesday (8:30 p.m., Sky and Sat.1). One is “prepared for the scenario”. The club would also like “but also no space” if the relegation succeeds.

The starting point is promising, but interim coach Marc Pfitzner emphasizes: “It is half -time, nothing is won.” The team remains concentrated and prepares intensively for the second leg on Tuesday evening in the sold-out Eintracht stadium.

Thanks to the goals of Lino Tempelmann and Marvin Rittmüller, Eintracht has collected new confidence. Nevertheless, caution remains. “The starting situation is good. Nevertheless, we also know that we cannot rest on it,” said Pfitzner. Defender Jannis Nikolaou returns to training after knee problems.

After a difficult season with defeats against Elversberg and Nuremberg, fans and players now hope for a successful conclusion: the whereabouts in the 2nd division.
