99,000 euros released for restoration of Veurnse town hall

The facade of the Veurne town hall has been behind scaffolding and banners for several months. In Veurne they are very satisfied with the premium from the Flemish government, because it allows them to further work on the facade and the entrance hall of the town hall.

“The historic Town Hall is one of the jewels in Renaissance style on our Grote Markt. Thanks to this Flemish support, the facade of the building is now getting a major makeover. That contributes to the view and the appearance of Veurne”, respond André Cambier and Marieke Stubbe of N-VA Veurne.

Cambier is convinced that Minister Diependaele has a soft spot for heritage in our province. “It is one of the many heritage projects in West Flanders for which Diependaele is making money available during this board term. It is clear that the minister has a soft spot for our heritage,” he says.
